All the children and young people in our municipality are offered good opportunities for development, learning and knowledge. An important starting point here is the concept of lifelong learning.
In Huddinge there are both municipal and independent primary, secondary and upper secondary schools. There are also three universities offering both undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes. There is also a municipal school of performing arts with around 1,100 registered students.
Freedom of choice
In Huddinge Municipality children and young people have a school capitation allowance which enables them and their parents to choose their school and education profile.
Similarily, the preschool capitation allowance gives our customers freedom of choice, allowing families with small children in Huddinge to select which preschool or day-care centre their children will attend. The municipality offers both municipal and privately run preschools.
