The housing market in Huddinge is characterised by large areas of residential houses. Around 55 per cent of all the housing consists of detached/terraced houses. Blocks of flats are primarily concentrated to the central parts of Huddinge such as Flemingsberg, Vårby Gård and Skogås. There are also several older holiday home areas which are attracting an increasing number of permanent residents.
High rate of new construction
A lot of new housing is currently under construction in Huddinge Municipality. Huddinge is among the municipalities in the county with the highest rate of new construction over the past ten years. Around 60 per cent of dwellings being built are in blocks of flats, the remainder are detached or terraced houses.
