Huddinge is situated just south of Stockholm. With more than 100,000 residents, Huddinge is the second largest municipality in Stockholm County.

The municipality is a politically governed organization in which the municipal council is the highest decision-making body – Huddinge's ”riksdag”. It is the citizens who decide through public vote which parties are to be represented in the municipal council.
