Support to people with disabilities

If you live in Huddinge Municipality, have a disability and are aged under 65 you can apply for support from the municipality. You can receive support and services in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Act concerning Support and Services for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS).

These laws do not state exactly what you are entitled to in terms of assistance, instead the assistance is based on an investigation into your individual needs when you apply. The support you receive should ensure a reasonable standard of living. For example, assistance can be provided in the form of home help or special housing in group accommodation with shared facilities. Decisions regarding assistance are made by an assistance case worker.
